Hi, I’m Josie Colleen

a West Auckland business owner, creative, and website designer with a background in hospitality, business management, and communications. I’ve spent years building and running businesses myself, so I understand first hand how important it is to have a website that not only looks good, but actually works for your business.

From 2019 - 2025, I owned and operated Alfred's Huia Store, a well-known café and community space nestled in the Waitākere Ranges. Running a busy hospitality business taught me everything from branding and customer experience to marketing, systems, operations, and what truly helps local businesses succeed day to day. Over the years, I’ve also trained staff, managed teams, built online presence, organised events, and worked closely with the local community.

Before stepping into business ownership, I worked across administration, article creation for a well known New Zealand magazine, hospitality, and customer-focused roles including personal assistant, bar management, and reception. I have taken professional photographs for websites and publishing mediums, and have created business merchandise and branding for over 10 years.

I also hold a degree in Communications and Film from the University of Otago, which shaped my passion for storytelling, branding, and creating meaningful visual experiences.

Now, I combine all of that experience into building websites for businesses that want something authentic, professional, and easy to manage. I specialise in creating clean, modern websites through platforms like Wix and Squarespace, with a focus on helping small businesses feel confident online without the overwhelm or agency-level pricing.

My approach is personal and collaborative. I know what it’s like to juggle everything as a business owner, so I aim to make the process straightforward, supportive, and tailored to your goals whether you need a simple online presence, a full ecommerce store, or help refining your brand and content.
